get minted this holiday

A handwritten note is a thoughtful way of spreading your love to family and friends across the globe over the holidays. My family places the holiday cards we receive on our fireplace and it's already getting pretty crowded! When I was travelling this summer with Susie, I must have sent 4-5 postcards from every city we visited back home to let others know what we were up to. Its always exciting to recieve a personal message from friends and family, so lets fill the mailboxes of loved ones with holiday cheer.

Take the stress out of your holiday planning and use Minted to make your holiday cards - they even write a note inside and put the mailing and return address on the envelope! Check out their holiday collection, you will love it. Below are a few of my favourites.

Keep the postal service alive and continue to send cards!

giveaway :: toiletry case from oughton

There is something so gentle yet fierce about a horse - they are noble, courageous and committed to their rider. Brands that promote good quality items that are inspired by horses are hard to come by. I was introduced to Oughton last year and always manage to pick out something nice for the season. Pretty much anything equestrian related makes me happy!

Below I have picked out a few of my favourites this holiday season and they have kindly provided a toiletry case to give to one of you! Browse some of the collection and I will meet you at the bottom for details about the giveaway.

xx

Oughton has been carrying handbags, wallets, luggage and accessories for year and for the first time this season have introduced a line of belts! This belt caught my eye because of the sophisticated belt buckle that reminds me of fencing and gates at the stable - how equestrian! The leather strap is made in Italy and they currently offer it in both the black haircalf seen below or brown buffalo. The straps are removable, interchangeable and come in 4 sizes.

The Carteret wallet is handmade in Italy with ultra-soft crème haircalf leather that is stain-resistant and tough. Not bad right? The lemony gold interior makes a great statement against the light hairs exterior. This is ideal for the busy women who needs lots of credit card slots, billfold pockets on both walls and a central zipped change purse in the centre.

Orange is that classic colour that can blend into nearly any outfit each season. Get that subtle pop of colour with this sophisticated yet playful hair calf leather in burnt orange. With a soft and spacious striped cotton lining you are able to travel safety with items inside.

This large toiletry case was inspired by burlap sacs found at the barn. This 100% waterproof clear vinyl case has great space on the inside with two interior patch pockets. With a great leather trim in orange and racing stripes down the centre this equestrian travel bag is perfect for your next getaway.

$125 value

christmas market at the distillery district

During the holidays, the Distillery District hosts the Lowe's Christmas Market. This 2 week long event is where the historical brick streets are packed with Christmas cheer and cute wooden huts filled with holiday gifts and delicious treats. These types of markets began in Germany in the early 1400's and are now a world wide thing! Sunday December 15th is the last day the market is open this season so make sure you visit before it's too late.

If you don't have a place for your family Christmas card scouted yet, this is a place to keep in mind!

Do you see what I see . . .

Sailer Jerry drinks outside celebrating Christmas with a bunch of strangers? Not bad! Make sure to go to the Biergarten, this is where all the complimentary hot and cold booze tastings are. It's tucked away between a few buildings with a big wood burning fire in the middle to keep you fingers and toes toasty warm as you cuddle around with new friends.

Singing Christmas carols outside? Yes please!

I took this picture below 2 weeks ago . . . looks like this past weekend was the busy one!

We surprised my mom and bought this massive Christmas tree!
(size matters!)

Check out these new boots I got from Sorels! Haven't taken them off in days.
