Getting luscious locks isn't as difficult as it may seem. All you need is a little bit of patience and the right tools. Ever since I was introduced to Living Proof products, I've been so thankful! This company is partially owned by Jennifer Aniston who is the queen of beautiful hair.

Steps to beautiful big curls

1. Apply Living Proof Prime Style Extender to damp or dry hair - this preps the hair

2. Spray Living Proof Restore Instant Protection all over hair - this protects the hair from heat tools and UV rays for up to 24 hours

3. Divide your hair into sections and wrap your hair around the heat wand for 15-20 seconds. I use the Sultra 1 inch wand and absolutely love it! Be careful because the wand is extremely hot!

4. Spray Living Proof Flex Shaping Hairspray all over your hair

5. Let your hair sit for 10-15 minutes then gently comb through your hair with a large comb

My mom and I went antiquing over the weekend and came across this wickedly awesome old building. It's not everyday that you find a gem like this one so we had to snap a few photos.

party politics at the design exchange

The Design Exchange puts on events about once - twice a month inside their building. After seeing an email from them about the Party Politics event which was an evening filled with cool beats and a clothing swap, my girlfriends and I couldn't say no! This soirée was on a Wednesday evening which was the perfect day to help break up the work week.

Fun fact about these events - there is an open bar all evening

Before the event, we all had dinner at Mercatto at Bay and Adelaide which was delicious. There's nothing like a round of Negronis and pizza or pasta to start off the evening!

After attending the DX annual party for the first time last year, Darcie and I were hooked right away. We both bought passes to the Design Exchange which allowed us to have discounted tickets for events and attend certain seminars for free. If you visit this place often, I would look into getting a membership (it's nearly half off for students!).

We met the legendary Frank Toskan who is one of the founders of MAC Cosmetics! He is honestly one of the most genuine people I've ever met. 

The bartenders were so sweet, they let us take home a handful of flowers at the end of the evening!

The company I work for hosted a lovely dinner at Cline Cellars Vineyard and Winery in Sonoma Country, California this past summer. We were able to wander around the grounds and view the perfect paths lined with luscious trees, beautiful blooms and an oasis like watering hole. 

Naturally, I was wearing my gorgeous faux snake skin Vionic sandals to keep me comfortable yet stylish throughout the whole evening.
