{get this look} fabulous ikea closet furniture

The amazing thing about IKEA is it can give your room a quick and inexpensive lift! I have always had at least one or two IKEA items in my room and they blend in really well it all my other furniture. A can of paint or some great hardware can turn an ordinary item into a fabulous custom designed piece.

One of my favourite IKEA closets is by Jen Ramos from Made by Girl. She turned her NYC bedroom into an organized masterpiece which was featured in Style at Home. She added simple things like wallpaper in the drawers and amazing hardware on the doors which completely glammed up the space. See the article here!

mirrored kitchen islands

Kitchen islands are an essential component to most kitchens. They provide great storage, an excellent and spacious food prepping area, a place to entertain, cook and clean. Since they can get quit large, why not make yours nearly invisible by mirroring it! This will reflect your gorgeous hardwood floor and make the area around it more spacious.

gold in the bedroom

Gold accents can instantly add so much elegance to a bedroom.  With a few tricks, you can make your boudoir glamorous.

This boudoir is completely stunning . . . The Italian gold accents are what truly make this room a place of elegance.  The grays and crisp white sheets give an everlasting comfort and warmth to the room.

This antiqued gold mirror is a beautiful accent in this bedroom and the grouping of small prints is a lovely accent next to it.  If you are working with a small room, an oversized mirror can instantly double the size of your space!

Gigantic mirrors placed on the floor and leaning against a wall are a personal favourite of mine
and a must have in a bedroom or changing area.

gold branch mirror

What a great idea having a decorative mirror overtop of a plain mirror. This creates such an interesting and different art piece while adding light and the illusion of open space.
