sweet swedish spot

There is something so right on about Swedish design. Maybe it's the simplicity in the colour palette or clean and smooth lines? Whatever it is, I love it. If you would like to mimic the style of this home, start with a few key pieces in earth toned colours and accessorize lightly with a few favourite pieces. The key point to remember is less is more.

How awesome is this memo board! Looks like the homeowner found vintage metal fences and placed big clips to attach pictures and notes to it.

the perfect white home

No matter what, white paint is always a great choice. You know you will never get sick of it, you can dress it up or down and it always makes your home feel bright, airy and open. This past January was the House and Home trends issue where they tell you whats going to be hot for the year. I spy a few  trends in this home! Can you spot any?

Claw foot tub - oh how I love thee.

This room was most likely a bedroom given the size and has flawlessly been transformed into a walk-in closet. Pretty perfect right?

At home we have an enormous collaboration of pictures from over the years all up the wall on the main staircase. I have been eager to create another one somewhere of prints just like the one below.

modern scandinavian style

There is something about Scandinavian style that is so calming and yet edgy. They manage to create a neutral space with pops of excitement. This home has just that. I mean have you checked out that dining room table and chandelier below?! I would be too nervous to have a dinner party thinking that something might happen to my beautiful table. Is it new? Is it mid-century? It's everything rolled into one.

An all marble bathroom? Yes please! You can splish splash all over the place without a worry.

milan home | modern luxury

There is something about the milan style I just can't get enough of. Tall ceilings, modern luxury, hardwood floors and lots of white is the perfect combination!

colourful easter brunch

Easter is one of my favourite times of the year. Spring has just begun and the flowers have almost sprung!

My family is a big fan of Easter brunch so below are some ideas on how to make your Easter table vibrant! The key ingredient to making an inviting table is colour so use it where ever you can. I always adore the mixture of vintage and new china and glassware. Our table is mixed with items my mom and I have found at antique markets and items that were passed down from generation to generation. It is always fun to reflect on these fond memories!

Use different textures, shapes and colour with food and beverages and be sure to scatter them around the table. Don't worry about keeping food with food and drinks with drinks - it's more interesting when there isn't a pattern!

See this post featured at Style at Home and see some other great blogger Easter ideas!

Since it's Easter, fill the table with eggs!

Place a bundle of them on a decorative paper napkin
(I purchased all of mine from the Jacaranda Tree on Mt. Pleasant in Toronto) in a chunky glass bowl.

At each place setting is a vintage liquor glass and a few stacked plates adding a nice height to each place!
