Although my office is usually on a comfy chair or propped up in bed, I do love a good work space. An office is a place to think up wonderful things and be inspired in. Make sure your space is right for you, organized with lots of space to move around. Allow for good lighting and I always love a window for sunlight to be let in. Always have lots of magazines and books that let your imagination run wild!

white cottage oasis

Keeping with white throughout the home has truly made this cottage a serene oasis. French windows and doors open this retreat to the great outdoors. So pretty!

bathroom shelving

Pre Wedgewood/Adams black planter is a wonderful addition to this vignette. I love the containers that the cotton balls, q-tips and scrub brushes are held in - it's an unexpected look for a bathroom. The white, black and gold work beautifully together and the fresh white hydrangea tops it off.

Open kitchen shelving is a personal favourite of mine. Show off your plates, glasses, bowls and platters and add a little drama...

Cupboards can overtime become dated, open shelving allows for a constant updated look. I really like the simple pencil drawings in the different wooden frames - never seen this on kitchen shelving before!

for the love of frames and shelving

17 foot high walls and wide open ceilings was the blank canvas for Descience Laboratories in this Lower East Side New York loft. Featured in Architectural Digest in the October 2011 issue, feast your eyes on the at-home-library of the one of a kind fashion photographer duo, Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. Their out of body and out and mind thinking has created a home for their own.

A mixture of frames in a variety sizes and colours accents a wall to be its own masterpiece.
